Project INSPIRE
Integrating Next-generation Solutions to Power Innovative, Resilient Education
What is Project INSPIRE?
Project INSPIRE was created by the Anguilla Initiative in partnership with the Anguilla Department of Education to envision a national e-learning program that would inspire Anguillian children through access to technology. In late 2020, the Anguilla Initiative connected with the Department of Education (DoE) to discover more about the state of digital learning in Anguilla. At that time, we learned about the significant challenges the existing ICT (“Information Communications & Technology”) program faced due to COVID and funding difficulties, and Project INSPIRE was born.
Project INSPIRE began as a pilot at the Orealia Kelly Primary School in the Valley. Through this pilot, every student and teacher received a laptop device, each classroom was equipped with an interactive display, and other supporting technology infrastructure was provided, such as WiFi and electrical enhancements.
Additionally, the project aimed to deliver high-quality teacher training and support, which was crucial for success. This empowered teachers to leverage technology and provide transformational educational experiences to the children of Anguilla.
Finally, Project INSPIRE included a robust performance evaluation program to measure efficacy to the new digital approach to learning.
The project commenced with a pilot at one of Anguilla's largest primary schools at the beginning of the 2022-2023 school year. The pilot at Orealia Kelly Primary School was a huge success. Building on this momentum, we have worked closely with generous donors and technology partners like Lenovo and Promethean to roll out Project INSPIRE to Vivian Vanterpool Primary School and Alwyn Allison Richardson Primary School in the 2023-24 school year. The program has continued to be successful, positively impacting students and teachers alike.
However, our work is far from over. Three of the six primary schools and the high school in Anguilla have yet to benefit from the program. While we continue to work tirelessly with donors to secure the necessary devices and funding, we need your help to transform the educational landscape of Anguilla. Your support is crucial in ensuring that every student has access to the technology and resources they need for a brighter future.

How can I help?
Project INSPIRE is being funded through the generous support of philanthropic foundations and individual donors, in-kind assistance from the Anguilla Department of Education, and charitable grants and donations from leading global technology providers.
To continue expanding Project INSPIRE and reach all of the schools in Anguilla, we need your help.
The Anguilla Initiative is actively seeking funding for the continued expansion of Project INSPIRE. Following the successful completion of the pilot at Orealia Kelly Primary School and the subsequent rollout to Vivian Vanterpool Primary School and Alwyn Allison Richardson Primary School, the next phase aims to include all remaining schools across Anguilla.
Securing funding for this expanded program is a significant undertaking that is already in progress. Additional financial support from individual donors, corporate sponsors, government entities, and other non-government organizations will be crucial to achieving this goal.
